Real-Time Data
TAL Data® is fast, reliable market data that Townsend Analytics provides to online traders, broker dealers and financial institutions worldwide. These data include:
- Streaming real-time data on stocks, futures, equities, options and foreign currencies from major North American, EMEA, and Asia Pacific exchanges.
- Indices (Gap Open, Percent Weekly Volume, Gainers, Losers, Most Actives, and 52-week Highs and Lows), which update every minute throughout the trading day.
- Direct Internet distribution.
TAL Data® is Townsend Analytics' streaming real-time market data delivered through the RealTick trading platform or through the TAL Toolkit ™ API which is only available for the Pro and Trader subscription levels. This trading quality data is relied upon by traders, broker/dealers and financial institutions worldwide. RealTick provides you with real-time data on stocks, futures, options, fixed-income securities, and forex from North American, European, and Asia Pacific Exchanges, ECNs, and other liquidity destinations—distributed directly from the sources to your desktop.

Tickers
Add a Ticker window to a RealTick page to keep track of your positions and stay abreast of market activity. Tickers display real-time price and volume information.
- You can selectively display ticker symbols by exchange or asset class (e.g., stocks, futures, fixed-income).
- Display and save user-defined lists of symbols.
- Select regional exchanges you wish to monitor for multiple listings of stocks and indicate the quote source for Nasdaq issues.
- Ticker information can be set to scroll horizontally (Jet display) or vertically (Cascade display).
Charts
RealTick charts include a wide array of analytical studies. Charts can be used to analyze any number of instruments in line, bar, or candlestick format.
- A chart can be displayed by trades or by time interval: minutes (including overnight charts), Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly. Instantly change the interval or scale for any chart using shortcut keys.
- RealTick designs its chart studies for easy legibility and immediate comprehension: when possible, studies are overlayed. If the study uses another measure, the study is placed in an adjacent panel with its own axis.
- Display bar data or the last price in a pop-up display box that updates in real-time. (Last price can also be viewed directly on the chart axis).
- Enhance charts with, trend lines, annotations, and technical-analysis studies (such as moving averages, MACD, signal line, Bollinger bands, and many others).
- Customize chart coloring and duplicate the charts that you configure using Chart Favorites.
- RealTick's chart multiplier capability enables you to compare stock or future spreads more accurately by using simple arithmetic equations.
- Display orders and positions directly on charts.
- Auto-fill the price field in the order entry panel and change order by click and drag directly on a chart.
MarketMinder™
MarketMinder windows can display a wide array of information in spreadsheet format. Customize your column layouts by selecting from TAL Data's hundreds of data fields.
- Select from pre-designed Minder layouts or create your own using hundreds of available columns.
- Sort the data by any column or custom sort the data on several levels.
- Create, edit and save lists of related symbols as symbol files that you can use on other pages.
- Link a MarketMinder window to other RealTick windows for fast symbol changes.
- View order details in real-time using the OrderMinder window and its advanced filtering.
- Activate a conditional or deferred order from your OrderMinder window with a simple right-click.
- View account positions and profit-and-loss in real time using a PositionMinderTM window.
Multiquote™ Screens
A MultiQuote screen provides detailed information, including fundamentals and price data, on a single instrument. There is a wide variety of pre-designed layouts to choose from, each designed with a unique combination of data fields.
News Windows
These windows display current news from the Dow Jones News Service, Comtex wires, and RealTimeTraders Newswire according to the filters you enter. Additional fees may apply.

- Set a window to search for key words, symbols or categories.
- Click on headlines as they appear to read full-text stories.
- Sign up for Dow Jones, Comtex, AFX News, RealTimeTraders, MidnightTrader and Canada Customwire or any combination of these news sources.
Integrated Web Browser
This integrated Web Browser lets you keep RealTick maximized and visible while you surf online for stock tips, news stories and important data.
Financial Research
RealTick customers can get in-depth financial information from Mergent Global Company Data and Zacks Brokerage Research Center, both accessed via integrated Web links.
Mergent Global Company Data
Mergent, Inc., is a preferred data source for global and financial information that contains key financials, fundamental and descriptive data from more than 15,000 U.S. public companies, 20,000 non-U.S. public companies from 100 countries, and 20,000 US municipal bonds issuers, as well as extensive corporate bond, unit investment trust, corporate actions, mutual fund and dividend information

Zacks Research
Zacks Investment Research's comprehensive site offers company profiles, industry-specific stats and searches, earnings data, annual income statements, annual balance sheets and an earnings calendar for thousands of companies. Users can access Zacks via RealTick's integrated Web browser.
Alarms & Alerts
The TAL AlarmsTM window displays daily highs, daily lows, 52-week highs and 52-week lows in a ticker format. TAL Alerts notify you with pop-up window when prices hit designated levels.
- Choose a customized sound option for each alert you set.
Flexible User Interface
Easy-to-navigate features make the most of your time and screen space.
- Create new windows with one mouse click. Drag a symbol from the Symbol Guide or from an existing window, drop it onto a Toolbar button, and RealTick will instantly create the new window for that instrument.
- Use drag-and-drop to add instruments to or move instruments among tickers, charts, MarketMinders™ and MultiQuotes™. The study or screen to which you add a symbol will update immediately with the new instrument's information.
- Use Favorites to bypass the setup process for the windows you use most. Simply save a study as a Favorite and then recreate it on another page with a single click-colors, layout, technical analysis and all.
- Move quickly among pages with user-defined shortcut keys called HotKeys.
- Alter the content of various windows simultaneously. With window-to-window linking, when you change a symbol in one window, the symbol choices of all linked windows on the same page will change accordingly.
